The tour is designed to help you understand more about the melting pot of cultures that contributed to the birth of modern India.

On this full day tour you will get a glimpse of Bandel, Chinsurah, Chandannagar and Serampore and we will introduce you to the amazing cultural confluence along the Hooghly River, often called “Europe on the Ganges”.

You will see where the siege of Shah Jahan took place, meet Nazrul Islam – the ‘Rebel Poet’, learn aboutBankim Chandra’s famous song, hear about the Rising of Mangal Pandey and reflect on William Carey’sincredible legacy.  We will visit a museum with early Indian prints, enjoy the tranquility of the oldest church in Bengal, climb a clock tower of a famous Imambarah, explore the remains of an Old Dutch fort, wind our way through tiny alleys of stately Bengali palaces, and finish with a stroll along a French boulevard, all the while enjoying amazing river views.

Note: The Trip starts and ends in Kolkata(West bengal) and travel will be done in a car.

Please arrive by 7:30 AM at BMS Gate, 44, A.J.C. Bose Road, Kolkata or agreed upon place.
